Wagon Train
The 2024 ETI Corral 14 Wagon Train had hoped to retrace the original route of the pioneers traveling from North to South for the first time.
After multiple discussions with the DVNPS and ongoing trail closures due to flood damage, the wagons had to shorten their journey this year. The northern end of Westside Road had not been repaired and a section was still missing from the flood waters. The photo in the header of this page shows the equipment on Westside Road to start the repairs. The southern end on Harry Wades Exit Route, the section from Ashford Junction to River Crossing camp, there was a mile and a half of deep sand.
This was the itinerary of the 61 mile journey they traveled this year with arrival on Saturday November 9th at Ashford Junction.
